“Shall we frame in the cable cars or the mountain?” Not an everyday conversation in the MTV News office, but here in Mayrhofen it’s a real issue. So we went with both.
Interviews with Example, Yasmin and Ed Sheeran today, and what really came across was how much the artists are enjoying the festival – which in Yasmin’s case was no mean feat considering she had a chest infection that had caused her to cancel her live show the night before.
Example told us all the details of his new track Changed The Way You Kissed Me, produced by ‘tech house’ master Michael Woods from Hackney. They’re shooting the video in Ministry of Sound next week (check his twitter if you want to get involved). He also said there are is a handful of artists he could never refuse a feature – including Pro Green and Tinie (but there are NO collaborations on his new record).
Yasmin – with trademark hat looking in perfect context, shared her feelings on Lily Allen’s rumoured inclusion on the X-Factor judging panel:

We’ve been waiting to interview Ed for months. Now he’s with a major label and has a single soon to drop, he’ll make his debut on News when the piece airs next week. A top bloke….who has Elton on speed dial.
The day ended for us with 2 big performances. Pro Green’s was big simply because he managed to get through a set with tonsillitis! Even so, ‘Monster’ with Example on stage was a real crowd pleaser, and even in an Austrian indoor tennis hall you could hear the immaculate strings on his new track ‘Read All About It’.
Magnetic Man followed and belted out more bass than I knew existed. Will resist the temptation of an avalanche-based quip. Coachella won’t know what’s hit it.
In other news, Alice Levine makes her SB11 debut soon….
