MTV Ibiza Takeover Pt 2....

One of our last nights on the island this year was spent at Ibiza Super Club Amnesia. The Club was celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary(!) and had legendary DJ and former resident Paul Oakenfold performing a special birthday set.

After arriving at 1am, Valentino and the guys at the club hooked our MTV party up VIP-style which meant from our lofty position we got to see the infamous Amnesia dancers in action (and up close!!).

Before his highly anticipated set, Laura and I were lucky enough to get to chat to Paul and ask him about his experiences of playing Amnesia over the years along with how much the Island has changed, who his favourite DJ’s are at the moment and loads more. I found it amazing how chilled out he was even though he was moments away from playing to a massive crowd of thousands of people – what a guy!

The highlight of my night though had to be when Paul was about to start his set and our very own MTV Digs funny guy Melvin Odoom jumped on the mic and introduced him to the crowd – Awesome!
