MTV Ibiza Takeover Pt 1....

After a couple of days lapping up the sunshine on the White Isle, one of the highlights of our trip was finally upon us – A night spent listening to live music at Ibiza Rocks.

For the past couple of years the Ibiza Rocks Hotel has always provided a really good night out and the night we attended proved no different. I’d never been lucky enough to see Chase & Status live, they were the headliners so I was interested to see what type of show they were going to put on. Their support act (and one of my favourite artists right now) was the ever popular Tinie Tempah. I spoke to Tinie backstage just before he went on and he was genuinely excited at the prospect of performing there.

I can honestly say that although I’d seen Tinie perform a few weeks before at another festival back home in the UK, he still blew me away with his set. His crowd interaction, his energy and on stage presence all culminated in an amazing show - performed like a true star. The highlight for me was his final track called 'Miami2Ibiza' produced by Swedish House Mafia which absolutely raised the roof!

Chase & Status were equally as impressive. They played an array of tracks with cameos from Tempa T, Marli and video recorded performances from the likes of Plan B. Their set was hosted by an MC who goes by the name of Rage who added a cool guile and consistency to the whole show as he linked all the elements of this awesome performance together. Chase & Status nailed it!

Shout out to the Ibiza Rocks team, Blackberry and Xbox360 for helping [MTV] us put on another top night! (and Example for the after-party!)
