Damon Albarn Judges Africa Unsigned

A selection of up and coming artists from Kenya, Senegal, Mali, Zimbabwe and South Africa have been hand picked by a music panel consisting of experts like Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur), Baaba Maal and Tony Allen. Music fans can listen to the artists, pick their favorites and chip in a minimum of a $1 dollar to go towards the recording of a professional EP for that artist.
The music is then distributed to the fans that backed the artist, and also sold on online stores like Amazon & iTunes. All the generated net income from music sales is shared equally between the artists and the music fans that have shown support. The project aims to expand by welcoming musicians from other countries in the near future...
